Kisumu Senator Fred Outa has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene and help bring back lawyer Miguna Miguna to Kenya.
Mr Outa noted that since the President and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga had signed a unity pact, the Head of State should step in and assist in ensuring theself proclaimed NRM general is brought back home.
The former Nyando MP narrated that his constituents were always visiting his home and asking him questions about the Miguna deportation yet he had no answers.
“I come from this area, as does Miguna. For the last one week I’ve had a terrible time here in Nyando. People are asking questions… if President Uhuru Kenyatta means well and if his unity deal with Raila Odinga is to bring peace to this country, the one thing he must do is allow Miguna Miguna to come back home without any further delay,” Outa was quoted by Citizen Digital.
Meanwhile, the vocal lawyer was last week detained at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a couple of days after which he was deported to Dubai.
His deportation elicited a lot of reactions in the country with most of his supporters condemning the act.
