After the Supreme Court upheld the election win of President Uhuru Kenyatta the opposition NASA move was awaited.
It should be noted that NASA was not part of the petition.
The petitions were filed by former Kiharu MP Harun Mwau and three other activists.
Other petitions were filed by activists Khelef Khalifa, Njonjo Mue and Okiya Omtatah arguing that the Election Day should be pushed for 90 days and at the same time, President Kenyatta should allow for a caretaker government.
Through his twitter account, Kajiado Senator Ledama ole Kina said that the ruling will affect the opposition plans.
Ole Kina noted that the outcome will not affect the strategies put in place by the opposition while at the same time calling for calm among supporters across the political divide.
“The outcome of supreme court of kenya won't affect our strategies. Jubilee supporters can as well celebrate. To Nasa supporters stay calm. Let peace prevail,” he tweeted.
