Sakaja bemoaned the non-inclusion of youths in the list, saying that the youths are the major stakeholders.

''We as youths are totally behind the handshake but our hearts have been broken, Mr. Prime Minister. Prime Minister, it is very unfortunate that your list did not include the youths of this country. If there's an agenda to bring the country together, it is not possible to leave out young people. Please ensure that you have a mix of old and young people. Youths are the major stakeholders in this country. We respect the old people but we want to see youths on that list. The youths of this country are the trustees of its posterity,'' Sakaja said.

The Nairobi Senator spoke on Tuesday during the Labour Day celebrations in Nairobi that was graced by leaders.

He expressed his support for the dramatic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and former prime minister Raila Odinga, saying it was the only way for the country to move forward towards prosperity.

Raila Odinga's list has caused great consternation amongst youthful leaders who contend that the non-inclusion of youths is unfortunate.
