Nairobi County Senator Mike Mbuvi has urged police officers to firmly deal with those who want to forcefully evict the IEBC officers from office.
The senator, who was speaking on Saturday during a fund drive at Kioge SDA church in Kisii said police should teargas them in order to maintain peace and protect property.
"These Cord people should be teargassed in order to protect properties from destruction, and also to protect innocent Kenyans from any form of harm from them," said Sonko.
He also noted that even president Uhuru Kenyatta was tear gassed when he was a leader of the opposition sometime back.
"Teargassing is not for Cord people and leaders only, even president Uhuru was teargassed when he was a leader of opposition some years back," he added.
He also told Cord leaders to keep off use of demonstrations in their quest to remove the IEBC from office, and instead urged them use the constitution.
