In a phone interview  with this writer on Monday, Mong'are challenged such leaders to foster development in their various regions instead of chest-thumping in public for no reason.

"It is a pity that a section of leaders who I cannot mention are going around Gusiiland lying to our people that they are behind the nomination of Judge Maraga, but what they should know is that Maraga is not a politician but a professional," said Mong'are.

The Senator was grateful to the Judicial Service Commission's nomination of Maraga as the next CJ saying the move was historic in Gusii.

"It is good that the JSC had all the confidence in Maraga that he can be of help in transforming the Judiciary and we are happy as a community because he deserved it and it is historic," added Mong'are.
