Speaking in Nairobi on Sunday where Jubilee held a parallel rally to ODM's, the nominated Senator told Joho to keep off Nairobi politics and concentrate on Mombasa.

“We want to tell Joho that he will not influence Nairobi politics. We are coming to Mombasa to teach you a lesson because you have no respect for the presidency,” Elachi said.

Joho has in recent times been involved in a war of words against President Uhuru Kenyatta who he accused of not recognising him as the governor of the coastal town when he visited the county.

On Sunday, Joho was quoted saying that  Uhuru should 'behave in a manner that befit a president.'

Joho was reacting to a scuffle of words that ensued between his party leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru during former minister William ole Ntimama's burial in Narok last weekend.

Several leaders allied to  Uhuru has accused the flamboyant governor of disrespecting the Head of State.

The Jubilee rally held in Mathare in Nairobi was led by National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, Bishop Margret Wanjiru among other Jubilee leaders.
