Kapsimotwo Ward residents have urged Nandi Senator Kiprotich Cherargei to play his oversight role in the county government to avoid misuse of public funds.
Led by Henry Mutai, the locals blamed the former senator, who is now the governor, and Members of the County Assembly for failing to scrutinize the ousted county government leadership.
Mr. Mutai appealed to the MCAs to reject the list of County Chief Officers who were nominated by Governor Stephen Sang.
He says the county boss imported outsiders to get employment opportunities in Nandi side-lining the locals who are equally qualified.
He claims that nobody from Tinderet and Nandi Hills constituencies was appointed to a senior position in the county government.
Governor Sang has, however, dismissed the claims.
