Kisumu County Assembly members have been urged to sit down and iron out their issues amicably.
TNA nominated Senator Joy Gwendo said the leadership of the assembly has the capacity now to solve their differences.
Gwendo said after ODM party leader Raila Odinga tried to resolve the differences and failed, it is time the assembly leadership renegotiate the peace deal.
She said officials from the majority and minority parties need to sit down and have the assembly MCAs strike a deal.
“The assembly leadership has the capacity to deal with the situation. The matter at hand does not warrant such scenes we watched on local TVs,” she said.
The senator said the differences are detrimental to any meaningful development in the county, further condemning what befall the county assembly deputy Speaker Pamela Omino early this week.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu, Gwendo said women in leadership should be supported, and wondered why women MCAs in the assembly kept off when one of them was being wrestled down by one of the assembly orderlies.
“Our women MCAs are a letdown after they deserted Omino during her tribulations, they need to stick with each other,” she said.
