Senator Kimani Wamatangi has asked the Kiambu county government to set a three year strategy for spending money allocated by the next budget
Wamatangi spoke in Kiambu where he revealed that the county would be receiving more than 8 billion from the national government. Once this was added to the revenue collection the county would have more than 12.5 billion to spend on their development.
Wamatangi said that the county residents had been complaining of funds being poorly allocated. Residents had protested against the county government, saying that the county government had to work out its problems by delivering to the residents
He said that he had worked extra hard in the senate to make sure that the county received the available amount to develop Kiambu.
He further said that the county had experienced two years of poor leadership but that it was the right time for the Kabogo government to makeup by addressing the matters with great caution
“The national government is giving Kiambu county more than 8 billion and adding up the counties daily collection the money will add up to more than 12 billion which is a big amount to make a three years strategy. The county government has to win the confidence of three years development by sealing the two years of disappointment to the county,” Wamatangi said.
