Bomet County senator Wilfred Lessan has urged his county boss, Isaac Ruto, to record a statement with the police following last week’s incident where he was injured by a gas canister on his face.

He said that despite the incident, none of the political leaders present during the incident has recorded any statement with the police.

“For any investigations to commence at least statements should have been recorded with the police to avoid blame game,” Lesan said.

The senator also said security officers at the function should also be made to record statements with the police.
