Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has called for the resignation of President Uhuru Kenyatta alongside his deputy Willliam Ruto and exit from office in order to allow proper preparation for a repeat presidential election.
The senator while on a Tuesday morning show on KTN News said he was calling upon the president to consider exit from office in order to allow free and fair poll preparations saying the country was bad in a state.
He cited what he termed as mistreatment of members of the Maasai community largely the occupants of his county yet they were as well part of the larger Kalenjin community.
“I am asking the president and his deputy to resign; it is a way to resolving our issues. We should now seek to embrace what can solve our problems rather than things that divide us just like we are today,” he said.
The senator held that the repeat poll set for Thursday should not be held.
