Nakuru Senator James Mungai has called on Kenyans to avoid tribal comments on social media regarding the death of Cord leader Raila Odinga's son, Fidel Odinga. Mungai said that this was a very trying time for the former prime minister and such comments were uncalled for. He added that the careless comments could hurt and inflict more wounds on the affected families. “It's insensitive to turn the death of a young man into a tribal circus and name calling. I appeal to Kenyans to at least have some respect and honour,” he said. Mungai also appealed to Kenyans to restrain from abusing the ODM party leader online, saying that he was in pain. “Losing a loved one is very painful. The parents and [the] entire family is in mourning. The online posts will remain online and can be accessed by any member of the family. The insensitivity of the messages will hurt them more,” he said. “I pray that they might find peace and solace in Gods's arms. May His grace sustain them through these hard times,” he added. Fidel Odinga, 41, was found dead on his bed in Karen on Sunday morning after going out with friends the previous night. Detectives are investigating the cause of his sudden death.
