A Jubilee Senator has called on the electorate to use their power at the ballot box in the forthcoming August polls to vote out all leaders who have failed to deliver to Kenyans.
Senator Kimani Wamatangi, who spoke during an interview on NTV's AMLive show on Tuesday, noted that such leaders are only fond of opposing projects that are helpful to Kenyans with the aim of staying relevant.
"I think we should have a complete overhaul of the current leadership, the current leaders we have are people who oppose even viable projects that are helpful to this country," the Kiambu Senator said.
"When we see the President going out of his way to revive companies like Mumias and Pan Paper and only finds out that the same politicians that have brought the companies to their knees are the same people who still want to rule this country," he added.
The Senator also urged leaders to work towards making Kenya a self-reliant economy, manufacturing its own products saying it was the only way to save Kenyans from languishing in poverty.
"We must not continue to bury our heads in the sand playing politics with the lives of Kenyans. We need to tell all leaders from both the political divide that the only way to rescue this country is through turning our country into a self-reliant, manufacturing country," he said.
