National Super Alliance (Nasa) co-principal Moses Wetangula has been cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to defend his seat in the August 8 polls.
After being handed over his nomination certificate from IEBC Monday, Wetangula expressed optimism that he will easily win the Bungoma senatorial race even without campaigning for himself.
Wetangula noted he would now focus on campaigning for the opposition side across the country and ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government is sent packing.
“I will concentrate on campaigning for Nasa throughout the country to ensure we send the corrupt Jubilee regime home,” said Wetangula.
The senator also asked his competitor, Bony Nyongesa of ODM party to expect a turf battle come August 8.
“Let him brave himself for an uphill task. This will be the mother of all battles and I am sure I will trounce him,” he said.
