Given the reported cases of corruption, many have wondered why the government officials are so corrupt.

The president has tried to make sure that corruption is curbed but all in vain. He even at some point out of disillusionment said: “What do you want me to do? (Mnataka nifanye nini?)”

Kalembe Ndile who recently joined Jubilee Party unveiled another sort of corruption or stealing going on in the government.

He said that during any interview with a vernacular radio.

He said that senators are thieves due to the fact that they earn a lot of money and yet they do nothing.

“What Senate does can be handled by The National assembly,” said the out spoken former MP. “What they earn is a stolen money.”

Based on his argument, if each of 47 senators takes home Sh700,000 per month, that is a total of Sh 32,900,000.
