They said his remarks are meant to polarize the country.

Speaking in Nakuru, the Mount Kenya Heroes Association said Senator Njoroge`s remarks are an utter embarrassment to the country and do not represent the will of loyal supporters of the Jubilee party.

"We will support the Jubilee party`s pre-election agreement of electing the Deputy President as president in 2022 to take over from the incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta," Ben Githae the youth spokesperson said.

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri who attended the retreat as a guest echoed the caucus sentiments saying, the country will not condone divisive opinions from leaders entrusted with championing cohesion and integration in the country that is still reeling out of a turbulent political past.

"Senator Njoroge`s sentiments are not representative of the Jubilee Alliance Party. As the chairman of the Parliamentary caucus in Nakuru County I will sermon the senator to substantiate his remarks," he said.

Senator Njoroge had told a news conference in Nairobi that the DP should cease blackmailing the Kikuyu community to vote him in 2022 on the mere reason that he backed President Uhuru`s presidential bid in 2013 and in 2017.
