Kisii County governor James Ongwae has yet against accused Jubilee government of sabotaging devolved systems of governance and urged Gusii voters to elect opposition to power.

Ongwae also questioned the projects being done by Jubilee government, insisting that many projects across the county were still stalled due to poor funding by the government.

Ongwae said he will invest his resources to ensure opposition takes over to 'rescue' the country from an impending economic crisis.

"Governors across the country have been facing a lot of difficulties because Jubilee government has been sabotaging us. They are determined to see devolution failing," he said.

"My appeal to our people is that we have only one chance to change this country and that is next year. Kindly vote the opposition so that we constitute the government of the people," he added.

Ongwae has been fighting a strong team of Jubilee proponents led by Senator Chris Obure in the larger Gusii region in last few months.
