ODM Treasurer Timothy Bosire has welcomed President Uhuru Kenyatta to campaign in Gusii region, an area that analysts consider a NASA stronghold. Mr Bosire, the Kitutu Masaba MP, however told the president that the Abagusii community will not vote for him in the August 8 general election. “We have no problem with the President going anywhere and everywhere. We cannot do what they did to us in Kapsabet on Sunday where they attempted to disrupt our rally,” said Bosire, as quoted by the Star. President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are in Kisii in a series of campaign rallies. Jubilee Party strategists have labelled Kisii and Nyamira as swing counties, which they hope to take from Raila Odinga’s NASA coalition. Tomorrow, the president will go to Nyamira and address residents at Nyamaiga, Ekerenyo, Nyamira, Kemera, Magombo, Rigoma, Nyanyiongo, and Ikonge. On Tuesday, he campaigned at Keroka, Kisii town, Keumbu, Nyakoe, Sukena, Tabaka, Nyatieko and Masimba.
