Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament Richard Tong’i has called upon all elected leaders from Kisii region to ensure that they stop early campaigns and ensure that they serve the interest of the electorates.
Speaking on Wednesday evening while holding a meeting with his electorates at Ibeno area the legislator said most of the politicians from the area have started early campaigns which may hurt development in the region.
“Those who want to be elected to various offices should calm down and wait for 2017 so that they can start campaigning officially and let us work at this moment,” he added.
He called upon all leaders in the area to ensure that they unite so that they can deliver their promises and above all uplift the living standards of the residents.
The legislator also said that he is going to defend his seat in the upcoming election since he has been in office for less than two years but brought a lot of changes.
