Services were paralysed at the Naivasha sub-county hospital on Wednesday as intern doctors and nurses boycotted work over delayed salaries.
The doctors and nurses at the facility claim that they have not been paid for the past four months.
Long queues of patients who had come for treatment and other services were witnessed as the go-slow took effect.
The doctors further complained that they work long hours and want the management to recruit more medical personnel.
Speaking to reporters, hospital superintendent Joseph Mburu confirmed the boycott, saying the management is addressing it.
He said that the interns have not been paid but assured that their salaries would be paid soon.
He, however, refuted claims that the boycott had slowed down activities at the facility, saying things are moving on as usual.
This comes as doctors and nurses in some counties across the country downed tools over unpaid salaries. Mombasa County is the most affected, with some deaths being reported over lack of medical attention.
