Kisii county government has been urged to set aside funds to buy machinery like drillers and cutters to be used when a tragedy happens within Kisii County.
These remarks come after a 10 story building collapsed in Kisii town leading to the exercise of retrieving people to take a long time due to of lack of enough machines.
Addressing the media Kitutu Chache South Member of Parliament Richard Onyonka called on Kisii county members of assembly to budget and set aside funds to buy machinery that will provide help when a tragedy happen.
“Kisii county government should set aside money and buy important equipment so that when any tragedy happens it will be easy to save people lives,” said Onyonka.
He also lauded Kisii county government and the national government for their efforts of retrieving people from the rubble and condoled the families that lost their family members.
