Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa has laughed off the National Super Alliance (NASA) assertions that it will unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 general election.

Ichung’wa claims that NASA has no direction and as such it does not pose any threat to Uhuru’s re-election bid.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday, the Kikuyu MP claimed that NASA is a confused outfit that will not survive beyond the August polls.

He alleged that NASA is being led by vision-less leaders who cannot provide alternative leadership.

“It is laughable to hear NASA claim that it has the numbers to defeat Uhuru,” he said adding that the Alliance should first settle on a presidential flag bearer before thinking of unseating Jubilee government.

The MP said that NASA has no numbers basing on the IEBC statistics from the recently concluded mass voter registration.

“Looking at the statistics released by IEBC on voter registration, I wonder where NASA is getting the numbers it claims to have when its strongholds registered few voters,” he added.

Ichung’wa said that Jubilee’s re-election in August is a done deal.

The MP claimed that Jubilee has added over 250,000 votes to its basket ahead of the polls.

“We have the numbers in our favour and that is fact that NASA should accept,” he added during the interview.
