Seven people perished in a road accident along the Salgaa stretch, Nakuru-Nairobi highway on Saturday night.
Witnesses said the seven, believed to be local musicians, were in a probox that collided head-on with a truck.
Rift Valley Traffic Enforcement Officer Zero Arome confirmed the incident.
"The pro-box driver was overtaking dangerously at a steep slope of the road that has a sharp corner, he did not see the oncoming trailer," Arome told journalists.
the Standard on Sunday.It is believed that the pro-box was ferrying local Kalenjin musicians for a show in Timboroa, Nakuru County.The accident occurred at around 8:30 pm at Sachagwan ( along Salgaa stretch) with reports that the artists were heading to Timboroa for a function.
The bodies were moved to Molo District hospital mortuary.
