Police in Thika have arrested seven suspects in connection with the theft of assorted goods worth over Sh300,000.
Five of the suspects were arrested in Kihunguro in Ruiru over the weekend while the other two were arrested in Lari, Kiambu County.
The 36 assorted goods included six 24 inch television sets, six mobile phones, computers, amplifiers, generators, car tyres, shoes, wall clocks, cameras, mattresses and clothes among others.
Ruiru OCPD Isaac Thuranira said the seven suspects are assisting police with investigations.
He thanked members of the public for giving information that led to their arrest.
Thuranira said the government is on high alert to protect its citizen and their property and called on the owners of the stolen goods to go to Ruiru Police Station to identify the goods.
He added that in the last five months, security had been enhanced in Ruiru due to community policing.
