One person was killed and several others injured when a bus overturned in Taita Taveta county.

The accident occurred at Josa blackspot.

Those injured in the Saturday accident were rushed to Moi referral hospital.

Witnesses said the driver was likely not familiar with the route adding that he bus was speeding when the accident occurred.

County police commander Fred Ochieng said investigations into the cause of the accident have commenced.
