[Photo/Citizen TV]On Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta launched the Standard Guage Railway and also earmarked it for economic development in the country, however political analyst Barack Muluka has dismissed the impact of the railway.Muluka who wa speaking on Citizen TV on Sunday night said that he doesnt understand how the railway will transform the economy of the country because he comes from a village where a railway line passes through but he has not seen the impact."Railway lines do not transform the livelihoods of the places they go through We need to be told about the impact of SGR on the livelihoods of those who live along the railway," said Muluka.Is Muluka right or is he just being pessimistic?
