[Photo: Courtesy]President Uhuru Kenyatta toured Kisii county, Tuesday, in bid to popularise his Jubilee Party.Accompanied by area gubernatorial candidate Chris Obure and Senate aspirant Charles Nyachae, Uhuru made stopovers at various points, where he made pledges to them.He announced that the government would work with the private sector to ensure every graduate from universities and technical institutes in the country, gets internship. "We want every graduate to get internships where the government will give them a salary for the duration they are on internship as they attain the necessary experience to get jobs or start their own business," said the president.He further told the people of Kisii to get ready for the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), which will pass through the county on the way to Kisumu.This will be the SGR's second phase which starts from Naivasha to Kisumu. The first phase, from Nairobi to Mombasa is already in use, following its launch, May 31, 2017 by the president.
