A middle aged lady, who littered Thika town, has been slapped with Sh 50,000 fine by a Thika court. Eunice Njeri, 43, and a green grocery operator appeared before the Resident Magistrate where she pleaded guilty. The court heard that the accused was found by members of Thika municipal council on February 19, at 2pm near Tuskeys, throwing litter anyhow. She was arrested and taken to Thika police station where the charges were written. On noting how dangerous that was to the public, the accused was handed Sh 50000 fine with liberty to appeal within the next fourteen days. Members of public were also warned not to engage in such crimes.
