Families living in Kesses constituency of Uasin Gishu county will have been connected with electricity within the next five years.Area Member of Parliament Dr. Swarrup Mishra says plans are already underway to identify areas not connected to the national grid.Speaking in Eldoret on Saturday, Mishra said it will require about sh859 million for every local to get power in the constituency. He asked the residents to remain patient even as he works towards fulfilling his pledge within the first term."Having everybody connected with electricity cannot be done in a single day, but what I can promise to my people is that it shall be done," Mishra said."We've started with mapping out areas yet to connected and surveying also done in villages. Recently I had a meeting with the Energy Cabinet Secretary and Kenya Power MD on how this project will begin and as we speak 146 transformers are on the way," he added.
