[Photo|Governor Nyong'o CU]A 200-bed capacity hospital is set to be opened in Holo, Seme in Kisumu County in the next few months. The Sh200 million project spread on a 15 acre piece of land is the realisation of public private partnership engagement between the County Government of Kisumu and the Dawa Development Group, a not-for-profit organisation based in Kisumu.During an inspection tour of the facility on Friday whose construction has been ongoing since 2014, the Deputy Governor Dr Ochieng' Owili stressed Governor Anyang' Nyongo's vision of providing quality health access to all as stated in the manifesto."The completion of this facility will relieve the pressure on Kombewa Hospital and the other facilities while ensuring that the people within the locality access quality healthcare services within reach," he said.Owili thanked the Dawa Development Group for their selfless service to humanity and the dedication they have showed to ensure the facility is delivered on schedule.On his part, Dawa CEO Musa Ismail thanked the County government for the support they have been accorded since inception of the project. He gave an assurance that the remaining works would be completed in time amid the expected opening in May 2018.The tour was also attended by CeCs; Health - Dr. Mary Obara; Roads and Public Works - Thomas Ondijo; Economic Planning - Richard Ogendo; Environment - Salmon Orimba; Physical Planning and Urban Development - Nerry Achar; and members of the Dawa Development Group.
