[Photo|PSCU]The government has released approximately Sh30 billion to all secondary schools in the increased capitation plan of supporting each and every learner with up to Sh22,400.President Uhuru Kenyatta said this would ensure that secondary education is accessible to all the children, and also ensure equity across the country in terms of availability to education.Speaking during flagging off of distribution of 33 million books on Friday, Uhuru said the monies would as well ensure that children who are still not of age and who could not access secondary education, are able to access basic education until they are of a mature age.He further called upon prudence in the use of all public resources meant for school children, even as children going to form one start reporting next week, January 9."We must avoid wastage and misuse of these resources," he warned.
