Speaking in Kilifi Constituency when he responded to complaints by residents and businessmen over the constant traffic congestion witnessed on the Mazeras-Mombasa road, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi said that road construction was the only solution to the congestion.

"The roads will ease the movement of goods to and from Mombasa, hence opening up the two counties for trade related activities,” said Kingi.

The governor attributed the situation to poor policy formulations on infrastructural designs joining the two counties.

He called upon the contractors to avail themselves early to allow proper vetting before the commencement of the construction work.
