Sh45 million has been set aside by the national and Kiambu county governments to construct Kiambu county commissioner’s office.
This has been announced by Kiambu county assistant county commissioner Mathew Wambugu.
Wambugu said the new offices will enable the commissioner to coordinate affairs of the national and county governments better.
"The offices will ease operations of national government officers and those in the county to boost service delivery. The 8 storey building will accommodate National government departmental heads to work under one roof," Wambugu said at Kiambu Town on Friday.
He said the contractor has visited the site and work will begin in May this year.
"Once construction of the new offices are complete services will be closer to the people of Kiambu County becuase some offices will still be open and running from Thika sub-county," he added.
