Isiolo county governor Mohamed KutI has said Sh52 million will be donated for the emergency funds for drought intervention in the county.
The governor called on the county assembly members to hasten vetting and approval of the county executive committee nominees to enable his administration embark on work.
"I urge county MCAs to speedy up the vetting of cabinet nominees and approve them to start work to deliver to locals," he said.
Kuti noted that county staff must work as a team to help deal with the current severe drought experienced in the area.
Isiolo is one of the counties worst hit by prolonged drought due to lack of rains.
Herders in the county have been forced to move from place to place in search of pasture and water for their livestock.
