Gituamba ward MCA Samuel Ng’ang’a Nyambura says the four areas that are yet to be connected to the national power grid will soon benefit from the project sponsored by the county government.

‘The county government of Kiambu is working hard to improve the welfare of its residents by creating an enabling environment for businesses and other forms of business creation. Through electrification, skilled plumbers will get jobs going, thus increasing the economy of this county,’ he said.
Ng’ang’a recalled that other wards in the county would also benefit from rural the rural electrification programme.
“It will not be possible to put all areas under this programme this year but I believe that all villages will be covered as the term goes by to ensure all residents within Kiambu benefit from the programme,” he added.
He said an agricultural institute will be set up in Gatunguru location to assist farmers with more knowledge on farming techniques.
He recalled that the area had great potential for agricultural production adding that residents should be equipped with more knowledge on agricultural production.
