This follows an order by Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa, that the container-modified clinics be transported from the centre to their respective stations, to create space at the NYS station.

According to Marwa, the 40-feet each, containers should create space for construction of a rehabilitaion centre, for drug addict victims.

It is believed the 80 clinics were imported from Guangzhou, China, by Estama Invstments Ltd, a year ago, and were to be ferried to slum areas in urban centres.

The containers came into limelight following the alleged Sh5.2 billion scam at the Health Ministry.

It was revealed the container cost the tax payer Sh10 million each.

It is however not yet clear why the containers are still lying in Miritini.
