The residents claim that their area Member of County Assembly, Daniel Kamau, has failed to address issues affecting them hence need for them to see the governor.

Speaking to journalists at Shaba grounds, the irate residents said they want to express their prblems to the governor since he has power to solve them.

“We need him to visit our area and see the issues that are affecting us. Lack of water in Shabab especially in areas like Koinange, Kaptembwa, Kenlands and tanners is crippling our pockets since we are forced to buy it,” said Danie Njogu a resident.

Njogu added that water was among many issues governor Mbugua had promised to look at once he was elected.

Susan Wairimu said that the lack of proper mechanism to address unemployment, which is on the rise, is slowly forcing many young men to become alcohol addicts.

“We need him to come and talk to the youths. Even if he gives them nothing, the fact that he took time to advice them will show that he is interested in their welfare,” said Wairimu.

Among other things residents want to talk to the governor is about the possibility of having wifi hotspots in the area.

“We can find ways to use the free wifi to create jobs for ourselves we are therefore appealing to the county government to consider our area,” said Cliff Onyango.
