Photo: Suleiman Shahbal/ facebook.comMombasa Governor aspirant Suleiman Shahbal has assured aspirants seeking to fly the Jubilee Party flag in various elective seats in Mombasa during the August polls of free and fair nominations.Speaking when he held talks with aspirants drawn from Kisauni and Nyali Constituencies on matters leadership, governance and development on Monday, Shahbal said unlike other parties that issue direct nominations, the choice of who will carry the Jubilee Party flag rests squarely with the electorate.Shahbal said through training, the leaders can be empowered so that they can identify the problems affecting the people and look for potential solutions.While rallying the residents to back his bid to wrestle power from the incumbent Hassan Joho, Shahbal who was in the company of his running mate Anania Mwaboza accused Joho's leadership of failed deliverables.On his part, Mwaboza exuded confidence that Jubilee has what it takes to save Mombasa from Joho's 'misrule'.The Joho-Shahbal August contest will be a re-run of 2013 where Joho won after garnering over 130,000 votes against Shahbal's over 96,000 in what was an internal Cord competition pitting ODM and Wiper candidates.
