Photo/ the-star.co.keJubilee Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shahbal has challenged Governor Hassan Joho to explain how his endless trips to foreign nations have benefited Mombasa residents.Shabhal claimed that Joho has nothing to show despite making more than 20 trips to various countries in the name of wooing investors. This comes after Joho traveled to the United States of America (USA) to attend a global anti-extremism forum.Shabhal argued that it is unfortunate for Joho to tour strong cities yet Mombasa was grappling with garbage collection issues and perennial water shortages. “On Wednesday, I had a chance to interact with residents of Likoni and came face to face with the gripping realities of water shortage in the area, poor sanitation and the menace that is in the lack of garbage collection and disposal,” said Shahbal, as quoted by the Star.He said the county government's services had been disrupted following power disconnections due to unpaid bills, yet Joho is busy touring the US.He challenged the governor to tell residents what he learnt in US when he jets back into the country. “What lessons does he bring back to his city from those international forums he attends that address the various problems facing urban cities?" asked Shahbal.
