Mombasa governor hopeful Suleiman on Monday pitched camp in Tudor Ward, Kisauni where he addressed representatives of various groups on his plans if elected during the August poll.
The Jubilee politician who addressed community health workers, community policing, returned chiefs and village elders drawn from the Tudor ward recognized the roles that the various groups perform in the society despite working under tight financial conditions.
While promising to improve their working conditions, Shahbal said that his government will work closely with them to ensure that there is good service delivery.
According to Shahbal, his government if elected will devolve Sh50 million annually towards ward development.
He added that every ward will have an Excellent Ward Service Centre to make sure that people access county government functions without having to walk for long distances in search of such services.
Shahbal has amplified his campaigns ahead of the August 8 polls even as he seeks to unseat incumbent Governor Hassan Joho who has equally hit the ground running.
