Mombasa governor hopeful Suleiman Shahbal on Sunday took his campaigns to Likoni constituency where he fired yet another attack on Governor Hassan Joho.
While accusing him of allegedly failing to create opportunities for residents, Shahbal claimed that the county government has been turned into a business to benefit a few rich families.Shahbal who was in the company of his running mate Anania Mwaboza claimed that vegetable vendors who used to carry out their activities along the streets have been chased away by county askaris. The politician who exuded confidence to trounce Joho in his second attempt having fallen short in 2013, asked residents to elect leaders who can uplift their lives irrespective of their political affiliations. He blamed the Governor for engaging in petty politics at the expense of the electorate, and promised him a run for his money during the August 8 polls, which he said he will win by a landslide. On his part, Mwaboza accused the Joho led-administration of failing to foster a good working relationship with the national government, something he claimed has stalled the county's development agenda.
