Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shahbal has dismissed the National Super Alliance line up.
He said NASA's constitution shows it has owners and Coast people were not part of it.
Shahbal argued the fact that NASA has no Coast leader among the Pentagon members shows the coalition does not recognise the region.
“NASA has confirmed what we have been saying; that they are not for political and economic development of our region,” he said on Friday after holding talks with selected youth groups in Mombasa.
“Why is there no leader from Mombasa or Coast region in the top decision making organ of NASA- Pentagon?” If they cannot include leaders from our region while hunting for votes, what makes them think that they will be included in case NASA forms government?” he asked.
NASA’s Pentagon comprises Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) and Isaac Ruto (CCM).
During the Thursday rally at Uhuru Park, Mr Odinga was unveiled as the coalition’s flag bearer while Kalonzo will deputize him.
Mudavadi was announced Premier Cabinet Secretary with Wetangula and Governor Ruto as his deputies.
During the event, Mombasa Governor and ODM deputy party leader Hassan Joho received a rousing welcome.
“NASA has its owners and the people of Mombasa and the entire Coast are not amongst them,” Shahbal added.
“Let’s not be used as flower girls in power games,” he added.
