Mombasa Governor hopeful Suleiman Shahbal has put in place various plans that will see the county experience fast development if elected in the August elections.
Speaking when he visited Kadzandani Ward, Nyali Constituency on Saturday, the Jubilee candidate outlined his Ward Development Plan that he will implement should he form the next government.
According to Shahbal, every financial year, he will allocate Sh50 million to every ward to meet the development needs of residents.
He noted that the amount will translate to Sh1.5 billion which represents just 15 per cent of the county's annual budget.
Shahbal who has used every opportunity to punch holes into Governor Hassan Joho's development record since coming into office in 2013, said the ODM deputy party leader's leadership has failed to live to the expectations of the locals, adding that it is high time for such leaders to be rejected at the ballot.
While expressing confidence of wresting power from Joho who defeated him four years ago, Shahbal said the political dynamics in the county have changed and that the locals are looking for a working government.
