Suleiman Shahbal took his Mombasa governor campaigns to Nyali Constituency where he put drug peddlers on notice.
Shahbal said should he form the next government, his administration will not tolerate their dirty business.Speaking during a political rally at Frere Town on Tuesday, Shahbal said his administration will prioritize the rehabilitation of hundreds of youths who have fallen prey to the drug menace."I put on notice all drug peddlers on the streets. Either you stop this illegal trade or leave Mombasa. The 8th of August should be your last day in Mombasa. Through Citizen's Arrest, we will arrest and make sure you will face the law. We must protect our youths," a tough-talking Shahbal said. The politician who was accompanied by his running mate Ananiah Mwaboza accused the Hassan Joho’s administration of doing little to curb the drug situation in the county, noting that unemployment among the youth is to blame for the raging problem.According to Shahbal, should he win the seat during the August 8 polls, he will put in place various empowerment programmess for the youth which he says is the best way to ensure a drug abuse-free society.
