Former Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant on a Jubilee ticket Suleiman Shahbal has said that he is authoring a book.
During an interview with the Star Newspaper, Shahbal said that the book will focus on his political journey. He further dismissed reports that he was planning to quit politics after losing to Mombasa governor Hassan Joho.
“I am authoring a book … It is about my reflection on the 2013 and 2017 elections, the way our politics work, our constitution, our city and its problems, its solutions, and all those things that matter to us,” Shahbal said.
The politician has not appeared in public since August 8 was first spotted during the swearing in of Garissa Governor Ali Korane.
"Why would I want to quit politics? Politics is public service. Once you commit to public service you don’t just walk out," he said on Wednesday.
