Mombasa Governor Suleiman Shahbal has taken Governor Hassan Joho to task for allegedly marginalising other area of the county during his tenure ion office.
Speaking when took his campaigns to Airport Ward, Changamwe constituency, the Jubilee candidate claimed that four years since Joho came into office, the area residents have nothing to celebrate as their problems remain unattended.
He added that the county government has been developing some areas while others have been ignored.
According to Shahbal, the locals continue to suffer from high unemployment rates, poor feeder roads and lack of clean drinking waters despite the county receiving a colossus budget from the central government.
While promising to change the fortunes of the locals if elected, Shahbal who is making his second stab at the governorship after a failed bid in 2013 said that his administration will prioritize job creation.
Shahbal who was accompanied by a host of other Jubilee aspirants vowed to weed out all corruption cartels in the county which he claimed are holding the current regime at ransom.
