Mombasa governor hopeful Suleiman Shahbal has fired a blistering attack on county Women Representative Mishi Mboko.

Shahbal criticised Mboko for allegedly allowing garbage to be dumped near her office in Shimanzi-Ganjoni Ward, Mvita Constituency. The outspoken politician said he was very disappointed when he came across the heap of garbage during his door-to-door campaigns in the ward. While accusing the outspoken MP of doing little to address the garbage menace in the area, Shahbal claimed Mboko was only good in complaining about non-issues while ignoring important ones. "If a leader of a Women Rep stature can watch as the front of her office is turned into a dump site, how can she champion for the rights of those who elected her? This is typical of our leaders who are only good in complaining on completely non-issues, but ignore important critical ones," he said. The Mombasa County Government has been blamed for its inability to deal with waste disposal with the issue turning into a hot campaign agenda by Governor Hassan Joho's rivals.
