The recent attack by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho on the Jubilee administration over alleged skewed government appointments did not go well with governor hopeful Suleiman Shahbal who has told off Joho over the claim.
Joho who made the remarks during a NASA rally at Mariakani, Kilifi County on Thursday claimed that the Uhuru Kenyatta administration has failed to appoint Coast residents in top government jobs.According to Joho, the Jubilee administration is only blind-folding residents using the appointment of Nelson Dzuya as Jubilee’s national chairman.Shahbal, however, rubbished Joho's remarks saying the Jubilee Party has a strong representation at the Coast contrary to the claims made by the ODM deputy party leader. The governor gave an example of himself, Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro, Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya and Taita Taveta Women Representative Joyce Lay, adding that the Uhuru Kenyatta-led party has the interests of Coast residents at heart.Shahbal told Joho to keep off Jubilee affairs, arguing that the Governor is fond of engaging in cheap politics to divert attention from his poor development record.
