The Kenya parliament has been put on the spot in a shameful case where a university student has sued the August house's staff over sodomy.
The staff, name withheld, is said to have committed the heinous act on February 10, this year.
Court documents show the incident took place at 4am after the staff impersonated a police officer in Nairobi and handcuffed the victim.
According to court papers accessed by eDaily.co.ke, the staff penetrated the student without his consent.
Here are parts of a charge sheet dated February 26.
“Mr…on the 10th day of February, 2018 at about 0400hrs in Nairobi City within Nairobi County unlawfully used his penis to penetrate the anus of Mr…”
“Mr… on the 10th day of February, 2018 at about 0400hrs in Nairobi City within Nairobi County, intentionally touched the buttocks and anus of Mr… with his penis against his will.”
“Mr… on the 10th day of February, 2018 at about 0400hrs in Nairobi City within Nairobi County, falsely presented himself to be a person employed in the public service as a police officer and assumed to arrest Mr…,”
It is not clear though, what the student –who hails from Nakuru – was up to when he was "arrested".
The case is also not the first to border on sexual assault but it is the first on sodomy to hit the August house.
