Kisumu city is rapidly growing as a result of the ongoing construction of major roads and residential apartments.
The town has a couple of estates such as Milimani and Lolwe known to be the home of renowned tycoons.
However, there are some ugly scenes in these estates that turnish their good names.
A Hivisasa writer conducted a study and established annoying scenes that injure the reputation of Lolwe estate which is considered the wealthiest in the county.
1. The ever muddy main road leading into the main residence from Lolwe Gate.
This road is ever muddy with wide portholes making it uncomfortable to drive on. The portholes are often filled with sewage water from busted pipes producing a bad smell.
2.Container rooms
These rooms have been designed with tiled floors to serve as affordable business premises. They are being put up in large numbers randomly making the place look more disorganized.
3.The long stretching stinking trench
This trench found behind Lolwe Pentecostal Church is often flooded with dirty sewage water from KIWASCO pipes.
Some residents have been disposing garbage into this trench risking outbreak of waterborne diseases.
